6. A Shoe a Day – Brocade

Brocade patterns are extremely in right now for fall and the upcoming seasons. I am seeing it all over the runways in different forms and am loving it. For more on the trend check this out at Women’s Wear Daily – Fall 2012 Trend: Brocade or Bust.

These brocade wedges were a recent purchase on a trip with my new favorite shopping companion – Nicole. We are quite a bad influence on each other when it comes to shopping, especially shoes. We can’t help how fabulous the things that we find are.

Brocade lace up wedges (Akira – Diba $22 on sale!) Similar, but much more expensive, Jeffrey Campbell style here for $144.90. Let me just throw out a plug for Akira a Chicago exclusive boutique… it is by far my favorite store to find unique shoes and clothing. Sometimes it’s a bit expensive, but by example of my Diba’s you can definitely get shoes for a steal when they go on sale. They also have some really great brands in there! Needless to say, you will be seeing more shoes from Akira. 🙂

I paired the brocade wedges with a simple cream lace dress (Wet Seal – $15) and edged it up with a dark brown leather jacket (JouJou – gift). Accented with a gold braided belt (Forever 21 – $5).

Accessories & Make-Up:

Earrings – Betsey Johson from a sample sale in NYC $22.95

My go-to red lipstick – Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 01 (Kate Moss Collection) here and available in any major drug store for $5.49.

Thanks for reading. Chicagoans, stay out of the rain so you don’t ruin your outfits!

xoxo
