Today we went brunching and shopping and it was super nice outside. The perfect day to wander around with the girls. Since it was so gorgeous I wore a lightweight Aztec print dress and a cream cardigan. (Marshall’s; Urban Outfitters) It probably wasn’t entirely warm enough for this outfit, but now that it’s slightly warmer I can’t stop wearing dresses and skirts.
We started out at Crosby’s Kitchen on Southport. It was my first time there and it was absolutely delicious. I asked for my Bloody Mary extra spicy, and the bartender definitely delivered. It’s one of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve had in a while. [aside from my Chicago favorite at Wood] The location of the restaurant was great and it was very spacious. With only about a 20 minute wait to sit outside it was the perfect little spot. Usually brunch spots in the city are so packed and tiny, but there was plenty of seating. The food was also super good. I had the Eggs Florentine with smoked turkey, delicious!
After brunch we wandered through Lincoln Park and went shopping for some new spring clothes. These probably weren’t the best shoes to wear walking around, but I don’t care they’re so cute. (Target – Mossimo $24.95)I love the different straps on these wedges and the colorful details. They’re so fun and could definitely be paired with both black and brown. They were perfect to try on dresses while shopping too!
